Porn in the Pandemic: A Parents’ Guide

The pandemic has forced families everywhere to shelter at home. The kids are bored and restless, so — like many of us — they have turned to their screens for entertainment and distraction.

Most parents don’t realize that free, hardcore porn is available to anyone with a smart device. Porn in the pandemic is the topic of the Reward Foundation’s lengthy list of resources for parents, which includes videos, guidance for having difficult conversations (including the Culture Reframed Program for Parents of Tweens and Program for Parents of Teens), tips on smartphone use, helpful apps and books.

The risks for kids accessing porn are many. Does your young person, for example, neglect important parts of life, such as health (getting enough sleep, etc.), schoolwork, and family life?
