The premiere episode of journalist Katie Couric’s new podcast focuses on porn and sex ed, and features Dr. Gail Dines, longtime researcher and president & CEO of Culture Reframed.

Dines, who has studied porn and its effects for three decades, spoke to Katie Couric for her new series, “Next Question with Katie Couric.” An award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author, Couric launched her new podcast on iHeartRadio. Each Thursday, Couric will tackle topics like white supremacy, CBD, and polyamory.

“I want to understand the ‘why’ of things and not just that they’re happening,” Couric told Cosmo in an exclusive interview.

Couric’s premiere episode explores the influence of porn with three people: Trish, a 30-year-old psychologist who describes her experience dating a man whose sexual interests have been influenced by the porn he watched, Gail Dines, and Al Vernacchio, a sex educator and teacher.
